Open the DMG and drag it to Applications

It's signed and notarised by Apple, so it opens without warnings.

Allow the microphone and accessibility

Two switches in System Settings. Speaky Box opens the right page for each and ticks itself once they're on.

Pick a key and talk

fn, right option, caps lock, anything. Hold it, talk, let go. Text lands where your cursor is.

Which Macs does it run on?
Anything running macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
Why does it need accessibility permission?
That's how it types into other apps and notices the key you hold. It doesn't read what's on your screen.
Does it work offline?
No. It needs a connection to transcribe.
How do I uninstall it?
Quit it from the menu bar and drag it out of Applications. Your history and words live in a folder in your home directory you can delete too.
